Your first meetings with Czech companies, arranged in Czech.

Emails sent to Czech companies from abroad often go unanswered. I start with research on your product's segment, sales channels, competitors and prices. CzechInvest, the Czech investment and business development agency, publishes useful market data. It will not phone your candidates in Czech or sit in your meetings. That part is mine.

Who this is for

  • Czechia is on your list as a sales market or a production base.
  • You export and need a Czech distributor, reseller or industrial partner.
  • The decision to enter is made, but nobody in Czechia can carry it out.
  • Emails you sent to Czech companies from abroad went unanswered.

What I handle

These lines become your written scope, confirmed before any work starts.

  • Research on the market and competitors, measured against the product you actually sell.
  • A longlist, meaning a wide first list of candidate companies, narrowed with criteria you agree in advance.
  • Calls and emails in Czech to named decision-makers.
  • Meeting dates, plus an agenda and a short briefing before you travel.
  • Someone beside you at the meetings. I speak Czech with the other side when the conversation needs it.
  • Written follow-up on every point left open after a meeting.
  • An entry plan in writing, naming the partners worth pursuing and the next steps.

How it runs

Step by step, in the order it happens.

  1. 01

    Market research

Your product is the starting point. I look at the segment, sales channels, competitors and price levels.

  2. 02

    Longlist

A wide list of candidates comes first. I narrow it by size, fit, financial standing and real activity in the segment.

  3. 03

    Outreach in Czech

Named contacts get a call and an email in Czech. If a message goes unanswered, I try a second time.

  4. 04

    Meetings

I arrange the dates and prepare the agenda. At the meeting I sit with you and speak Czech with the other side.

  5. 05

    Follow-up

Open points go out in writing after each meeting, and I keep track of the replies.

What I do not do myself

  • Distribution and other contracts. A partner lawyer drafts and reviews them.
  • Tax and accounting questions, which go to a tax adviser or accountant.
  • A guarantee of a signed deal, a sales volume or a partner's decision.
  • Commission on your sales. I do not act as your sales agent.
  • Third-party market data that I have no licence to share.

What you prepare

Some steps only you can take. Better to know them before you decide.

  • Tell me what a good partner looks like for you in volume, margin, exclusivity and support.
  • Send product information, prices and references that a Czech buyer can see.
  • Bring a decision-maker to the meetings that matter.
  • Reply to Czech contacts at their pace, even when it does not suit your internal planning.

Questions about this service

CzechInvest helps foreign companies for free. Why pay Valtier?

Use CzechInvest. As the Czech investment and business development agency, it's a good first contact for an investment project. A public agency won't call your candidates in Czech or come to your meetings. Nor will it chase a partner who has gone quiet. That's the part you pay me for.

Do I need a Czech company before I start?

Often not. A company set up before the sales channel is tested brings fixed obligations early. Some situations do need a local entity first, such as public tenders or employing staff. If yours is one of them, you'll hear it from me before anything else is planned.

Prices

Know the price before you commit. Government and consular fees are not included, and you pay them at the counter.

Two short steps and no documents. If a different service suits you better, the reply says so.
