Market entry

Research is available for free. Execution is not.

Public agencies publish good Czech market information. What they do not do is call the shortlist in Czech, qualify who is real, sit in the meeting and follow up next month.

Who this is for

  • 01Foreign companies evaluating Czechia as a market or a production base
  • 02Exporters looking for distributors, resellers or industrial partners
  • 03Companies with a decision made and no local capacity to execute it
  • 04Teams that have tried remote outreach and received no replies

What Valtier handles

  • Market and competitor mapping against your actual product, not a sector overview
  • Local validation — what the segment looks like from inside Czechia
  • Candidate longlist, then qualification against criteria you agree in advance
  • Czech-language outreach to named decision-makers, by phone as well as email
  • Meeting coordination, agenda preparation and briefing before you travel
  • Attendance and interpreting where the conversation needs it
  • Structured follow-up after meetings, which is where most entries stall
  • A written entry plan: who is worth pursuing, on what terms, and what happens next

What you will need to do

  • Define what a good partner looks like — volume, margin, exclusivity, support
  • Provide product, pricing and reference material we can put in front of a Czech buyer
  • Make a decision-maker available for the meetings that matter
  • Be ready to respond within the market's timeframe, not the quarter's

How it runs

  1. 01

    Market mapping

Segment, channels, competitors and price positioning, assessed against what you actually sell.

  2. 02

    Qualification

A longlist narrowed by agreed criteria — size, fit, financial standing, whether they are genuinely active in the segment.

  3. 03

    Outreach

Named contacts approached in Czech, by phone and email, with replies chased rather than counted.

  4. 04

    Meetings and follow-up

Agendas prepared, meetings coordinated and attended, and every open point followed up in writing afterwards.

What is not included

  • A guarantee of signed contracts, sales volume or partner acceptance
  • Legal drafting or negotiation of distribution agreements — that goes to a Czech lawyer
  • Acting as your commercial agent or taking commission on your sales
  • Publishing or reselling third-party market data we are not licensed to share

Fees

Some services carry a fixed price. Others start from a base and depend on scope. Project work is quoted per project. You receive scope and fee in writing before any work begins.

Questions about this service

CzechInvest offers support for free. Why pay for this?

Use them — they are genuinely useful, and for investment projects they should be your first call. What a public agency does not do is run your outreach in Czech, qualify a specific longlist against your commercial criteria, sit in your meetings and keep chasing a partner who has gone quiet. That is the work we are paid for.

Should we form a company first?

Often not. Forming an entity before you know whether the channel works creates fixed obligations against an unproven assumption. There are situations where a local entity has to exist first — public tenders, certain contracts, employment — and we will say so when that applies to you.
