Residence
Know what happens next in your residence case.
Residence procedures are a sequence of dependencies and deadlines. We hold the sequence so you are not reconstructing it from forum posts.
Who this is for
- 01People applying for or renewing a Czech residence permit
- 02Applicants changing the purpose of their stay
- 03Families bringing partners and children into the same case
- 04Companies whose employees need residence handled alongside relocation
What Valtier handles
- Case review and confirmation of which route your situation actually falls under
- One document checklist, ordered by how long each item takes to obtain
- Coordination with translators, insurers, landlords and other third parties
- Appointment booking support and preparation for what is asked there
- Correspondence with the authority in Czech, on your behalf
- Deadline tracking across the case, including renewals and reporting duties
- Family members handled inside the same case rather than as separate files
What you will need to do
- Obtain personal documents from your home country early
- Attend appointments and biometrics in person where required
- Keep your accommodation and insurance arrangements current
- Tell us about changes — address, employer, family — as they happen
How it runs
- 01
Case review
Your status today, the route that applies, and the constraints that come with it — set out before anything is filed.
- 02
Preparation
Documents, translations and third-party arrangements assembled in the order that keeps the timeline intact.
- 03
Submission
Appointment coordination, preparation for the meeting, and a written record of what was submitted.
- 04
Follow-through
Status tracking, correspondence, collection, address registration and the next deadline already in the calendar.
Typical documents and requirements
Indicative only. Residence requirements differ by permit type, purpose of stay and nationality, and they change — confirm against the Ministry of the Interior.
- Valid travel document
- Proof of accommodation for the address you will register
- Evidence of the purpose of stay — employment, business, study, family
- Proof of sufficient funds, where the route requires it
- Health insurance meeting the required scope
- Criminal record extract and, where issued abroad, certified translation
What is not included
- Legal advice or representation in proceedings — Valtier is not a law firm
- Any promise about the decision or how long the authority will take
- Government fees, translations, apostilles and insurance premiums
- Anything that requires you personally, such as biometrics
Fees
Some services carry a fixed price. Others start from a base and depend on scope. Project work is quoted per project. You receive scope and fee in writing before any work begins.

Can you guarantee my application will be approved?
No, and nobody honestly can — the decision belongs to a public authority. What we can do is make sure the application is complete, consistent and submitted on time, which is the part that is actually within anyone's control.
Can you take over a case that has already started?
Usually yes. We start by reconstructing what has been submitted and what deadlines are already running, because taking over without that step tends to create a second problem on top of the first.
