Arrive with the practical things already arranged.
The first eight weeks in a new country are mostly appointments in a language you do not speak yet. This is the part we take off your calendar.
Who this is for
- 01Individuals and families moving to Czechia for work or business
- 02Employees relocating with an employer's support
- 03People already here who need registrations and contracts sorted properly
- 04HR teams standardising the arrival experience across several hires
What Valtier handles
- Housing brief and shortlist, with viewings arranged and attended where useful
- Lease review in plain language before you sign, and negotiation of the practical terms
- Address registration and the reporting duties that follow
- Health insurance setup appropriate to your status
- Bank account opening coordination
- Utilities, internet and mobile contracts
- School and kindergarten enquiries, and the documents they ask for
- Interpreting and accompaniment at appointments where it makes a difference
What you will need to do
- Tell us the real constraints — budget, commute, schools, pets — before the search starts
- Be available for viewings, in person or by video
- Sign contracts and hold the accounts that must be in your name
- Bring the personal documents landlords and banks will ask to see
How it runs
- 01
Brief
Budget, area, commute, schools and timing — written down, so the search is against your constraints rather than the market's convenience.
- 02
Search and viewings
A shortlist rather than a feed of listings, with viewings arranged and, where useful, attended with you.
- 03
Contract
The lease read properly before signature, the practical terms negotiated, and the handover documented.
- 04
Setting up
Registration, insurance, banking, utilities and schooling — closed out one by one rather than left as a list.
What is not included
- Physical moving, packing, freight and customs clearance
- Acting as a real estate agency or holding client funds
- Deposits, rent, insurance premiums and utility connection charges
- Any guarantee that a specific landlord, bank or school will accept an application
Fees
Some services carry a fixed price. Others start from a base and depend on scope. Project work is quoted per project. You receive scope and fee in writing before any work begins.
Questions about this service
01Can you help before I arrive?
Yes, and it is usually the better moment. Housing, insurance and the accommodation document that residence applications depend on are all easier to arrange before you are also dealing with an office queue.
02Do you only work in Prague?
No. A large share of relocation work is naturally in Prague, but Brno, Ostrava, Plzeň and the industrial regions come up regularly — particularly for corporate moves.
